Come learn the basics of wild mushroom foraging!
How can you identify them? When can you find them? Where should you look?

A sample day
From 10:30 a.m. to noon
A dynamic 90-minute theory presentation on a large screen.
Precautionary principle and overview of the main mushroom genera.
We will take a closer look at edible mushrooms of gastronomic interest, while learning to recognize certain deadly or toxic species.

Noon
Lunch time

From 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Mushroom foraging in the forest

From 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
The mushrooms will be laid out on the table.
With the instructor’s help, each participant will be invited to sort their finds by genus, connecting them with the theory covered in the morning.

Please note that the goal of this day is not to go home with edible mushrooms, but to provide tools to make identification easier.
